Confidentiality

Everything discussed on the phone, by email and during our sessions is confidential.  This means that information won't be shared with anyone else without your permission.  The only exception to this relates to risk and safeguarding concerns.  For example, if either you or your child (or someone else) was at risk of harm, all professionals then have a duty of care to act accordingly to reduce this risk.  This might involve contacting your GP, local services or next of kin.  Dr Telford would always aim to work with you to do this in the best way possible and to discuss this with you first and will never contact anyone without your prior knowledge.
